Ask anyone, “what is your least favorite day of the week?” 99% of people will tell you, “Monday.” But I’d argue that Monday is the best day of the week. Furthermore, I can tell the kind of person you are based on your relationship with Monday. Let me explain.
Most people look at Monday as the end of the weekend. The fun is over, and now it’s back to reality. These are the kind of people who live for the weekend. They are unhappy at their jobs. They drink and party to dull their pain and unhappiness. These people lack purpose.
People like me love Monday because we have purpose. Do we always love the idea of getting back to work? Not at all. No matter what job you have and how much you love it, burn out can and will set in at times. Regardless, I love what I do as a martial arts instructor, personal trainer, business owner and consultant. To me, Monday is the start of a week of opportunities to change lives and fulfill my God given purpose.
If you dislike Monday, it’s understandable. Like I said, it’s not always my favorite day either. But your perception is your reality. If you go into Monday with a better attitude and mindset, not only will your day go better, so will your entire week.
